In January 2023, while representing Uganda at the Danish travel show in Herning, the Ambassador and her team connected with BRAVO TOURS' CEO, whose booth was notably prominent. Travel shows like these spotlight diverse destinations and emerging trends in tourism. The visitors, comprising travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, airlines, and tourism boards, seek information and inspiration for future trips. Many attendees were surprised by Uganda's rich wildlife diversity.

Danish students conduct environmental conservation campaign in  Ugandan primary schools

Students from Niels Steenseen School, Copenhagen in  Denmark together with Caritas International and Community Integrity Development Initiative(CIDI) have conducted an environmental conservation campaign among primary school pupils in Nakawa Division, Kampala district.

We are at Luzira COU primary school with Caritas Denmark which has successfully received a grant from DANIDA's Globus fund for a project with the purpose of conveying climate related issues to Danes as well as exchange experience on climate related topics between the youth in Denmark and Uganda.

The group from Denmark also visited St James Bbina Primary school where they were welcomed by students with a cultural dance emphasizing the importance of tree planting

The students from Niels Steensen High school in Denmark  together with Luzira COU Primary school, Uganda  take part in an environmental club debate under the motion “Environmental Conservation is the Key to Development Success.”

Paul Mugambe , the Nakawa Division Mayor has expressed concern about the escalated garbage problem in the area which has posed a health challenge to residents.

Speaking during a cleaning exercise at Bugoloobi market on Thursday, Mugambe said that of all the garbage generated in Nakawa, only half of it is collected.
